According to Purbaya, the strengthening will be visible starting next week. This is in line with the implementation of the fiscal policies implemented by the government.

Throughout todays trading, the rupiah was under pressure, reaching Rp16,794 per US dollar in the morning session. However, before the close, the rupiah rebounded, rising slightly by 0.07 percent to Rp16,738 per US dollar.

On a weekly basis, the rupiah continued to depreciate 0.82 percent compared to its position of Rp16,601 per US dollar on Friday (September 19, 2025).

Meanwhile, the Jisdor reference rate weakened for eight consecutive days. On Friday (September 26, 2025), the Jisdor fell Rp23, or 0.14 percent, to Rp16,775 per US dollar. Within a week, the Jisdor exchange rate had fallen 1.19 percent from Rp16,578.
